Compared to the US population

Reddit users tend to be younger, more educated or in need of college education, and have an average male and female ratio of about 2: 1 [39] so the fulfillment of this sample is limited to modern Westerners. In the current sample, respondents were 27.8 years old (SD 8.9); age was not normally distributed over the interquartile range 21–31 years (median 26.0, width 16–63). The majority of participants were male, heterosexual (N = 211, 57 others), and white or European (N = 234, 44 others).

Design and questionnaire

Respondents completed a survey about their microdosing history that included the type of microdosing (object, volume, etc.), the specific benefits and challenges of using microdosing, the significance of these benefits and challenges, and important questions about behaviors and changes in use.
